From Pace Family History, Frankfort, Kentucky Historical Library: ohn Pace II died at the age 38 without a will adn the plantation went to his oldest son, William, who was only ten. Wife Elizabeth Montague's brother, Thomas and Robert Brown were appointed temporary administrators of the estate until Aprl 1735 when Elizabeth became administrator. No record in Christ Church Register of birth of any children the first 14 years of marriage. John and Elizabeth probably lived on Montague Plantation in Essex County, Virginia. John was taxed on "old books" which indicates he was educated for those days and could read.
